New Luke pics

January has been an interesting and trying month so far! It's been difficult living in our house...we have crammed all of our stuff into three rooms: the living room, our bedroom, and the tiny guest bedroom which is currently serving as both a storage space and Luke's bedroom. Every day we come home, the living room is a mess from the guys walking in and out of the house (not their fault, but it's still tough!). God knows what gets dragged in, but hopefully it's not stuff like asbestos :) The good news is that our contractor and all the workers are amazing...they work incredibly hard and are making a lot of progress. They should be done with their work in another few weeks, and then we start ours...which will take a while!

Meanwhile, Luke has been a little angel. He's been so pleasant and fun, and he's hanging in there really well with all the craziness that's going on around him. We are having the time of our lives with him, and as usual, we wish we could pause this stage for a little while...it's been so much fun.

What's going on with Luke: he talks like crazy and imitates every single word we say. His language skills are unreal...the daycare providers say that Luke has been the top imitator they've ever had in their class. That's a good thing because Chris and I can't claim that language is our top skill, but the downside is that we have to be very careful with every word that comes out of our mouths. He says EVERYTHING! Favorite words and sayings: bless you, see ya, up we go, done, all done, museum, cuze me, please, dank you, welcome, hummus, brocoli, crackers, no, etc. Luke loves brushing his teeth, brushing hair (mainly on the dogs), going to museums, walking, going to our neighborhood playground, watching "Elf", and having mama hold him. He's become a bit of a mama's boy lately, probably because I've been around more often. Life has been good, and we look forward to the addition being complete within the next 6 months!

Here are some updated pics, especially for you, Jennifer! How cute is Luke in the outfit you and Rick gave him??? He received MANY complements at daycare today...he was quite the dapper dude.
